Los Angeles Beats San Francisco, 6-1
Starting pitcher Alfonso Hall had a solid game. He was a big reason the Los Angeles Lions throttled the San Francisco Spots, 6-1. The third-place Spots now sit at 28-31.

It could have been a different outcome for Los Angeles, had it not been for Sylveste Brummitt, the 26-year old catcher . Brummitt contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Los Angeles up, 2-0.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Brummitt told the Los Angeles Herald.
