Sacramento Loses, 4-2, to San Francisco in 11
|
The San Francisco Spots took Sacramento pitcher James Hart's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Miners Park. The final score had San Francisco getting past the Miners, 4-2. Hart went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 5. The San Francisco win streak is now 3 games.
Garfield Smead, who is tied for 3rd in the CPL in RBI with 21, had a direct impact on the outcome. Smead contributed a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put San Francisco up, 4-2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Smead told the San Francisco Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
