Miners Take Down Lions, 8-7
Behind the hitting of Prince Pinchin, the Sacramento Miners stopped the Los Angeles Lions, 8-7, in 11 innings. Pinchin went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Miners. With the win, Sacramento upped its record to 28-23.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 34-year old left fielder Byron Wilkinson had a chance to be the hero. Los Angeles pitcher Thomas Birdsall wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Wilkinson hit a sacrifice fly. The Miners had themselves a thrilling win.

"We found a way to get it done," Pinchin said.
