Black Rifles Lose, 5-1, at Ballpark of Saint Louis

The home crowd had a good time watching the Richmond Black Rifles and Saint Louis Canaries get after it.
Pitcher Eugene Cooper was rock solid in helping the Saint Louis Canaries beat the Richmond Black Rifles, 5-1. Cooper picked up the win for Saint Louis, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0.
In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Richmond allowed the Canaries to go up, 2-1, on a Richmond error.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Brown told the Saint Louis Today.
Richmond falls to 1-1.
