Stars, Dunbar Stonewall Chattanooga, 5-0
|
Cap Dunbar of Kansas City easily handled the Chattanooga Nickajacks, stopping them on 6 hits and chucking a complete-game 5-0 shutout.
"He really did a job on us," said Chattanooga manager Harry Harvey. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
He finished the game with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing.
Checking out his stats for the year, Dunbar has racked up 10 wins and 13 losses in 25 starts, 3.88 ERA and struck out 67 batters in 199.2 innings.
