Bright, Stars Get 3-1 Win
|
Kansas City Stars pitcher Robert Bright was in top form, leading his team past the Birmingham Black Magic, 3-1. Kansas City now has a record of 53-46 with the win.
Bright, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was dealing all game. He kept Birmingham hitters off-balance, while giving the Stars 9 quality innings. Bright threw 100 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 5.
"Enjoyed this one," Bright told the Kansas City Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
