Canaries Earn 3-2 Road Win Over Richmond
|
The Saint Louis Canaries converted a terrific effort from starter Doc Harris into a win over the Richmond Black Rifles at Black Rifles Ballpark. The Canaries won the game by a final score of 3-2. In 8 innings, Harris surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Horace Hunter got the save, his 4th in 4 chances.
Harris contributed in the top of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Saint Louis get the win.
"Doc is a gamer," said Saint Louis manager Sam Landers.
Saint Louis is now 39-49, Richmond 42-46.
