Fans watched the San Francisco Spots and the Sacramento Miners fight to the finish.

Sacramento got a terrific game from catcher Leroy Beeby. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to San Francisco, 8-7, in 12 innings. Beeby went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The Spots, now 20-10, have been red hot.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Ivory Moore to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Spots on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Moore.
