Goobers Subdue Birmingham, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring contest, Savannah pitcher Nolan Napier was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-0 win. John Kincannon earned his 8th save in 10 chances. The win elevated the Goobers to 47-39.
With no one out in the bottom of the first, Max Smith put Savannah in front, 2-0, with a 2-run single. The Goobers went on to win the ballgame.
