Spots Collect 4-2 Win Over Lions
The Los Angeles Lions got a superb performance from pitcher Carl Cooper, but the San Francisco Spots still won the game, 4-2. Cooper threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loss drops Los Angeles to 8-5.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of William Loosemoor to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Spots on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Loosemoor after the game.
