|
Behind an impressive start by Wild Dan Johnston, Richmond beat Chattanooga, 3-0. In 6.1 innings, Johnston surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Richmond is now 32-34.
Milton Reed, who finished 2nd in the GSL in runs with 64 in 1913, had a direct impact on the outcome. Reed contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Richmond up, 3-0.
Richmond manager Ben England called it "a pretty good win."
