Rollers Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
Brooklyn wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher Ralph Foster, losing to Pittsburgh, 1-0, at The Race Track. Pittsburgh is now 63-43.
In the bottom of the second inning of a 0-0 tie, Pittsburgh shortstop Melvin Kimbro reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Pittsburgh on top, 1-0.
"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Rollers manager Johnny Grant.
