New York pitcher Paul Clark had a large part in his team subduing the Indianapolis Stars, 2-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Picking up his 3rd save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher George Augustus. New York is first in the Great Northern Gotham with a record of 62-40.

Wendell McCurrine helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Black Kings.

"Paul executed his pitches at a high level," said New York manager Walter Dunlap.
