Eagle Shuts Down Electrics, 1-0
|
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Buffalo Electrics as starter Larry Eagle shut them out, 1-0, at Field of the Whales. The Brooklyn pitcher struck out 5 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits.
"Eagle was good but he wasn't flawless," Buffalo manager Harry Thompson said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Brooklyn, but this is on us."
This year, Eagle has registered 13 wins and 13 losses in 25 starts with a 3.32 ERA while registering 114 strikeouts and 81 walks in 222 innings.
