Electrics Tagged with 3-1 Loss
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Brooklyn Cuban Stars and the Buffalo Electrics, pitcher Fred Brown was the difference between victory and defeat. The Brooklyn left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Cuban Stars win. The second-place Electrics dropped to 53-47.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Cuban Stars had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when catcher Kid Bradley hit a 2-run single. The single came off Gene Selden and made the score 2-0, Cuban Stars. Bradley went 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
"The fact of the matter is that we had a shot to win," said losing manager Harry Thompson.
