The Indianapolis Stars struggled at the plate against Electrics hurler Hamilton Armstrong, who shackled them on 3 hits while hurling a complete-game 1-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Stars skipper Tom Smith in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Armstrong finished the game with 7 strikeouts and 7 walks in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," Buffalo manager Harry Thompson said. "Hamilton made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
This season, Armstrong has a 13-12 record with a 2.72 ERA.
