Black Kings Get Past Cleveland for 2-1 Win
|
New York Black Kings starter Roy Colliers pitched a strong game against the Cleveland Black Cats at Kings Ballpark, leading the Black Kings to victory, 2-1. The Black Kings bumped their record to 55-33 with this latest triumph.
Had Jeremiah Miller not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Miller hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Black Kings.
"It was just a matter of executing," said New York manager Walter Dunlap.
