The Buffalo Electrics besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Cleveland catcher Chester Roberts by beating the Black Cats, 6-5, at Niagara Park. Roberts was 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 4 RBI. Jesse Anderson was the winner. Over 9 innings, he yielded 5 runs on 13 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Electrics now own a record of 47-40.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Willie Henderson had a chance to end it. Cleveland pitcher Alphonso Harris had other ideas. But with one out, Henderson grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Electrics had the win.
