New York starter Paul Clark pitched well against the Cleveland Black Cats at Newman Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. The first-place Black Kings now sit at 47-24.

New York second baseman Wendell McCurrine produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the ninth with Phillie Brown on the mound and New York leading 4-3. McCurrine reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 2 run3.
