The New York Black Kings grabbed a win, 8-3, over the Indianapolis Stars at Kings Ballpark. New York second baseman Wendell McCurrine went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Willie DeMoss was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. New York has now reeled off 18 straight wins.

With New York leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Paul Clark hit a 2-run single off Indianapolis pitcher Roosevelt Collins. It put the Black Kings ahead 3-0.
