Rollers Take Down Stars, 5-2
The Pittsburgh Rollers took Indianapolis pitcher Leon Davis's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Capitol Field. The final score had Pittsburgh getting past the Stars, 5-2. Davis went 10 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 4. Pittsburgh pitcher Chuck Taylor got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Ted Rollins got the loss. The Rollers now own a record of 28-34.

Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Jim Thomas to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rollers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Thomas called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
