Armstrong Spins 2-0 Shutout Against Indianapolis
|
Hamilton Armstrong of the Buffalo Electrics was masterful today, pitching a 6-hit shutout, 2-0, against the Indianapolis Stars.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Buffalo manager Albert Smith.
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Armstrong had 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
So far this season Armstrong has a 8-3 record, 13 starts, 108.2 innings, 55 strikeouts and a 2.24 ERA.
