Pittsburgh took on Brooklyn in front of a lively crowd.

Pittsburgh shortstop Lanky Spencer was instrumental in helping the Rollers triumph, 6-2, over the Brooklyn Cuban Stars. Spencer was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. The Rollers bumped their record to 29-23 with this latest triumph.

Spencer had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a 3-1 fastball from Ralph Foster, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Rollers a 3-2 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Spencer.

Pittsburgh manager Johnny Grant was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
