Philadelphia turned a good performance from starting pitcher Fred Kendall into a 5-2 triumph over the Indianapolis Stars at Capitol Field. Philadelphia is now 23-26, while Indianapolis is 28-23.
Kendall was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits over 9 innings for the Keystones. With the win, the 5-foot-9, 185-pound left-hander goes to 6-6.
"When he's dealing, Fred is a tough customer," said Philadelphia manager Mark Holland.
