Black Cats Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Cleveland Black Cats defeated the New York Black Kings in 13 innings, 5-4, in part because of first baseman Samuel Albritton. Albritton was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Black Cats. The win went to Phillie Brown in relief, making him now 5-1. Willie DeMoss took the loss for New York. The Black Cats, at 24-13, have now won 6 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by John Ducey in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Willie DeMoss to win the game for Cleveland. The home crowd went nuts.

"We had a chance to win," said New York manager Walter Dunlap, "but we didn't get it done."
