Stars Squelch Black Cats Offense in Shutout Win
Indianapolis pitcher Kid Paul had a large part in his team beating the Cleveland Black Cats, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Paul, now 3-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 1, walking 4, and allowing no runs. Ted Rollins earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.

The Stars had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-0, Indianapolis, with one out. Cleveland, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Bob Henderson dug in at the plate, but on a 1-0 fastball, he lined out.

The Stars now have a record of 17-19 with the win over Cleveland.
