The Cincinnati Snappers got a stellar performance from pitcher Eugene Clark, who handcuffed the Pittsburgh offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Proving Grounds. In 8.2 innings, Clark surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. The Snappers now have a record of 11-24.
Cincinnati took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Alex Davis hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Snappers.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cincinnati skipper Ed Rich.
