The Indianapolis Stars picked up a win at Kings Ballpark, knocking off the New York Black Kings, 6-3. Starting pitcher Charley Clark was a big reason why. Clark, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. The save went to Dempsey Davis, number 3 for him.

Indianapolis third baseman Fred Malone contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 22nd hit of the season and put the Stars ahead, 3-0.
