New York second baseman Wendell McCurrine picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Cleveland Black Cats, 6-5. The Black Cats drop to 9-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 1915 season.

McCurrine had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 fastball from Ormand Trent, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Black Kings a 5-4 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for McCurrine.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," McCurrine told a local reporter after the game.
