The Indianapolis Stars rode a solid performance from 32-year-old starting pitcher Charley Clark to a win, beating the Philadelphia Keystones, 3-2, at Capitol Field. Ted Rollins, who finished 4th in the GNL in ERA with 2.28 in 1913, earned the save for Indianapolis. With the win, Indianapolis improves its record to 8-11.

With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the seventh, Clark had a key at-bat for Indianapolis. With a runner on 3rd, Clark hit a run-scoring single off Charlie Pointer, making the score 3-2, Stars.

"Charley was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Indianapolis manager Tom Smith.
