Stars Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
|
The Indianapolis Stars got a marvelous performance from pitcher Kid Paul. The left-hander kept the Brooklyn offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Indianapolis victory at Capitol Field. Indianapolis goes to 12-7 with the win.
Indianapolis took a 3-2 lead on Jace Lett's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Lett hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Brooklyn pitcher Larry Eagle visibly frustrated.
"Pedal to the metal" is how Indianapolis manager Tom Smith described his team's approach.
