Black Kings Hurler Clark Tosses Masterpiece
|
Paul Clark of the New York Black Kings was masterful, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 3-0, against the Cincinnati Snappers.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by New York manager Walter Dunlap.
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Clark had 2 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
To this point in the season, Clark shows a 3-1 record, 5 starts, 40.1 innings, 8 strikeouts and a 1.56 ERA.
