Fred Kendall pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Buffalo Electrics, despite Kendall's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Indianapolis Stars at Niagara Park. Losses have been rare for the Electrics, who are now 9-4.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, John Breaux was at the plate when Indianapolis scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Stars to go in front, 3-2.

"We did enough to win," said Breaux.
