Keystones Clip Cuban Stars, 4-3
|
Philadelphia left fielder Henry Lackey made his presence felt in the 4-3 Keystones triumph over the Brooklyn Cuban Stars. Lackey went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Sad Sam Blanchard locked down his 2nd save. Philadelphia, now 6-2, is setting the league on fire so far.
With Philadelphia leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Lackey hit a curveball from Larry Eagle for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Keystones ahead, 3-0.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Brooklyn manager Leroy Fox. "The effort was great."
