Gulf Coast Earns 2-1 Win
Crowds lined up early in front of The Thing at Lovense Field, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2033 Juust A Bit Outside season. On the mound was Brandon Pfaadt for the visiting Gulf Coast Storm and Branson Mullowney for the hometown Tuah Hawks. In a spirited contest, the Storm pulled out the win, defeating the Hawks by the score of 2-1. Especially impressive was Brandon Pfaadt.
Gulf Coast used the hitting of Josh Webb to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Storm on top, 2-1. For the game, Webb had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Brandon kept his poise and got the job done," said Gulf Coast manager Brian Barrentt. "He was outstanding."
