Flying Aces Win 4-2 Nail-Biter Versus Fly Fisherman
|
The Yuntech Fly Fisherman got a superb performance from pitcher Mason Russell, but the Avalon Flying Aces still won the game, 4-2. Russell threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Avalon reliever Andre Pallante picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Juan Sandoval was saddled with the loss. The losses continue to pile up for Yuntech, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
Avalon got a knockout punch from Jeremy Flannery. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Losing makes me cranky," said Yuntech manager Steve Smith. "And right now not even my dog wants to be around me."
