The London Clash did just enough to sneak past the Montreal Youppis, 4-3, at Joe Strummer Stadium. London pitcher Alan Davis, in particular, had a standout performance. Jin-yeol Ha recorded the save, making him 32 for 35. The Clash, now 73-72, have won 8 in a row.
Santiago Bustos had a big solo home run for the Clash in the bottom of the sixth inning. With London leading 3-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Walker Buehler, who finished 5th in the BUL in wins with 13 in 2023, and punished it. The result was his 26th home run of the season, which put the Clash on top, 4-1.
Davis told a London Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
