Riding the 2-hit performance of the two-time All-Star Dave D'Amiano, the Puerto Rico Rockets stopped the Great Blue Heron, 7-1. The win for the Rockets lifted their record to 85-49.

Puerto Rico catcher Pablo Aliendo contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the Rockets ahead, 1-0.

Said losing manager Tom LeSaffre: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
