The first-place Puerto Rico Rockets took on the Guelph Royals in front of a spirited crowd.

The Puerto Rico Rockets defeated the Guelph Royals, 12-2, in Harry Doyle League action at Roberto Clememte Stadium presented by Ron Bacardi. Tommy Cuyler pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Ghaysun Bankole was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.

Cuyler went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 against the Royals. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a 2-run single that put Puerto Rico in front, 2-0.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Cuyler told the Puerto Rico Citizen.

With the win, Puerto Rico upped its record to 84-49.
