The 8-4 Gulf Coast win over Fayetteville was due in large part to Toby Simmons. The Storm right fielder went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Gulf Coast win streak is now 3 games.

With Gulf Coast trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth, Simmons hit a curveball from Kash Mayfield for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Storm ahead, 7-4.
