Fayetteville left fielder Noah Franco had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Avalon Flying Aces, 5-4. Ignacio Garibay picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-1. Phil Cieslik, who won the Cy Young Award in 2028, was tagged with the loss. Lu-shan Jen earned the save for Fayetteville, his 18th of the year.
Nathanael German drew 1 walk for Fayetteville. The 26-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Phil Cieslik. It was his 28th RBI of the season.
Said Fayetteville manager Zach Halverson: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
Fayetteville has now won 4 straight, while the Flying Aces have lost 3 in a row.
