Formosan starter Kevin Easton kept the Tuah offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his fastball in leading the Blue Magpie to a 4-1 win. Easton, the winner, moves to 7-3. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. With the win, Formosan upped its record to 41-26.
Formosan used the hitting of Gabe Creech to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Magpie on top, 2-0. For the game, Creech had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"No disrespect to the other team," said Formosan manager Adam Melhuse. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
