Absolutely Free Top Royals, 6-5
|
The Aberdeen Absolutely Free downed the Guelph Royals, 6-5, in 10 innings. Sergio Ayala led the way, going 1-for-2 for Aberdeen. By defeating Guelph, the third-place Absolutely Free improved to 30-33.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Ayala hit a fastball from Dan Hinte for a run-scoring double. The Absolutely Free, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Exhilarating win," said Ayala.
