Montreal beat Guelph on the strength of starting pitcher Juan José Cox's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Montreal pitcher Jamie Luther got the win, upping his record to 1-2. Nehemiah Loston got the loss. Montreal is now 29-27, while Guelph is 29-27.

Ken Vergari was the walk-off hero for Montreal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Youppis designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Cox said.
