Puerto Rico turned a good performance from starting pitcher Eric Warner into a 4-2 triumph over the Nashville Stars at Roberto Clememte Stadium presented by Ron Bacardi. The Rockets lead the Harry Doyle League South Division by 6½ games.

Chris Waldorf dealt the Stars a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Puerto Rico leading 2-1, Waldorf, who finished 5th in the HDL in OPS with .924 in 2031, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Puerto Rico skipper Jose Gaztambide.
