Otero on Fire, 5-for-9 Against Palm Beach
Tuesday, September 1st , 2043
A jubilant Robbie Otero joined the postgame press conference at TD Ballpark to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Palm Beach Cardinals pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Dunedin Blue Jays right fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-9 hitting performance, which led to the 9-8 Blue Jays win.

"He made it look easy," said Alex Guerrero, manager of the Cardinals. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Robbie Otero flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th, flied out in the 15th, grounded out in the 16th and flied out in the 19th.

This year, Otero is hitting .269 with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .336 clip and scored 24 runs.
