Barrage of Hits Gets Macias A W Award Monday, June 12th , 2045 Stockton Ports first baseman Chris Macias walked away with the Low-A West Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Ports fans are really behind me right now," said the 21-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Macias batted .519 (14-for-27) with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs this week on his way to the award. This season, Macias is swinging the bat at a .347 rate with 68 hits in 196 at-bats. To date he has hit 4 home runs, scored 29 runs and driven in 32. |
