League Suspends Nuts Rieth 2 Games Tuesday, August 22nd , 2045 As a result of his tirade and temper tantrum during yesterday's Nuts-Giants game at Excite Ballpark, Modesto second baseman Chris Rieth will get some time off. He was issued a 2-game suspension by the league commissioner. Rieth was suspended for verbally abusing and physically bumping the home plate umpire after being ejected for arguing over a third strike. So far this year, Rieth has 6 home runs and a .286 batting average. |
