#1 Player Named by High-A West
Tuesday, October 6th , 2043
He may have less experience than most of his High-A West peers, but that didn't slow Joe Badalamenti down at all in 2043.
At the age of 23, the Vancouver center fielder has been named the winner of the High-A West Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .300 batting average and a .348 on-base percentage this year. In 107 games he piled up 127 hits, 26 doubles, 1 triple, 16 home runs, 57 RBIs and 45 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jordan White of the Tri-City Dust Devils finished second in voting, while Victor Palmerin of the Spokane Indians finished third.
