Season May Be Over for Diamondbacks Evans
Wednesday, August 12th , 2043
Steve Evans of the Diamondbacks just might have to call it quits for the season. The 32-year-old Arizona starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Philadelphia Phillies recently at Chase Field. Evans suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Diamondbacks medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 10 months.
Checking out his stats for the season, Evans has registered 2 wins and 2 losses in 7 starts, posted a 3.50 ERA, and struck out 38 batters in 43.2 innings.
