McLaurin Sensational, 6-for-7
Sunday, August 2nd , 2043
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 6 hits in a day.
Gabe McLaurin is one of those rare few, as he went 6-for-7 against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The monster effort from the 27-year-old second baseman helped the Washington Nationals get the win, 21-2.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Diamondbacks manager George Dbacks. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Gabe McLaurin singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Wilson Vega in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
Currently McLaurin is batting .297 with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
